Photo Album: 25764 Board Foot Air Seal and Fiberglass Insulation
This job included a removal, air seal, and blown in fiberglass insulation. After 2,147 square feet of insulation was removed, an air seal was done to close off any areas that may allow for air flow left behind by the fiberglass insulation. To do this, the crew used an expanding polyurethane foam to seal these spaces. TruSoft fiberglass insulation was then blown in to slow heat transfer by conduction.
Fiberglass Insulation
The fiberglass was blown around the corners of the attic to stop heat transfer .
Fiberglass Blow In
New fiberglass insulation can be blown in right over existing insulation.
Blown In Insulation
A thick blanket of insulation ensures the attic has enough insulation.
Home Comfort!
After the insulation is installed, the homeowner will begin to notice that their home stays cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
