Crawl Space Insulation Photo Album: 2400 Sq. Ft. Moisture Barrier and Mold Treatment in Ocean Isle Beach, NC
This customers crawlspace had 20 year old insulation that was falling down and causing moisture to accumulate underneath the home. This moisture caused mold growth that made for poor indoor air quality in the customers home. In order to combat these problems, our crew removed the low hanging insulation and encapsulated the crawlspace by airsealing areas where air flows freely and laying a moisture barrier over the entire space. A dehumidifier was also placed in the crawlspace to eradicate the accumulated mold.
Before Encapsulation
Low hanging insulation means that the home is not properly insulated.
Air Seal
Doing an air seal before encapsulating the crawlspace ensures that excess outdoor air and moisture will not waste energy.
Encapsulation
Encapsulating your crawlspace provides a moisture barrier between the Earth and your home.
Full encapsulation
A full encapsulation, including a dehumidifier, will eliminate mold and allow more comfort to your home.
